چکیده

Abstract This study aimed to prepare a niosomal gel of green tea ( Camellia sinensis ) extract containing catechins, mostly epigallocatechin-3-gallate (ECGC), as potent antioxidant. Niosomes can increase EGCG's stability and penetration into the skin for better therapeutic effect. were prepared by thin-layer hydration method, evaluated their vesicle shape, particle size, polydispersity index, zeta potential entrapment efficiency, then incorporated gels using sodium alginate gelling agent. Three formulations with different concentrations niosomes extract. Afterwards, organoleptic properties, chemical physical characteristics, antioxidant activity, irritability investigated. The had significant effect on but not ones. Its activity was determined 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) scavenging method. 50% showed highest inhibition value (25.13%). freeze–thaw real-time methods; they decrease in pH, still within pH range skin. test used Hen's Egg Test-Chorioallantoic Membrane (HET-CAM) which no irritation all formulas. In conclusion, results it be best formulation optimal results.

Sub-critical water extraction of residual green tea to produce a roasted green tea-like extract.

In this study, we investigated the effects of various temperatures between 140 to 260 degrees C during sub-critical water extraction of residual green tea in making a roasted green tea-like extract, a popular beverage in Japan. Each residual green tea extract was analyzed for sensory properties and antioxidative activities, and this revealed 140 degrees C to be the best extraction temperature. ...
